VCTR Performance VW Golf GTI MK6 Intake System

Overview

The factory intake on the MK6 GTI was never a high point — it's an adequate OEM assembly designed for refinement, not performance. This aluminium intake replaces it with a more direct path to the turbocharger, bringing more induction sound into the cabin and supporting the airflow needs of tuned MK6 applications.

Engineering Focus

The 70mm aluminium pipework is sized for both EA113 and EA888 Gen2 applications. The kit includes filtration, couplers and the hardware needed to replace the complete factory intake assembly.

Built for the Drive, Not Just the Dyno

The MK5/MK6 platform's factory intake was built around a much milder factory tune than most owners are running today. A larger, more direct aluminium intake is the simplest fix in the book — more air in means more air the turbo can use, and a sharper induction note as a side effect.

Note: this intake fits the shared EA888 Gen1/Gen2 platform across Golf GTI/R MK5/MK6, A3/S3 8P and Jetta GLI — same engine bay, same fit. It does not fit MK7/MK8 Golf or Audi 8V/8Y platform vehicles, which use a later-generation engine and different fitment.
