The VCTR Performance long-tube headers use 304 stainless steel for the VQ35/VQ37 applications. The manifold or header assembly forms the engine-side exhaust path, connecting the engine to the next stage of the system.
The exhaust starts at the engine, not the tips. Giving the header or manifold the same attention as the rest of the pipework makes sense when you're putting the system together properly.
