Overview

The MK7 GTI/Golf R's EA888 Gen3 builds oil temperature quickly during extended hard use or track driving. This oil cooler kit adds an additional heat exchange circuit to maintain more stable oil temperatures when the car is driven harder.

Oil temperature is the metric track days actually punish — a hot lap is fine, three hot laps back to back is where the factory cooling system runs out of margin. A dedicated cooler is cheap insurance against the kind of thermal stress that shortens an engine's life long before it shows up as a power number.
